When: Satruday, September 2; 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Where: McLean HS Dance Room

Requirements: NONE!

Forms needed:

1. VHSL Physical
2. Emergency Care Form
3. Parent Concussion Education
4. Student Concussion Education

Please bring water and wear white shirt, black shorts, and white cheer shoes or sneakers.

Tryout Schedule

August 1	First Tryout Clinic All forms must be submitted this day to be able to participate in tryouts	Paperwork: 4:30 pm Tryout clinic: 5:00 – 7:30 pm
August 2	Tryout Clinic Day 2	5:00 – 7:30 pm
August 3	Timed sprints Final Tryout Day	7:30 am Starts at 5:30 pm
August 4	Team Announcements	TBA
August 7	First Day of Practice (Both teams)	5:00 – 7:00 pm
August 8	Parents Meeting	7:30 pm

 

General Information

• Tryouts will be held in the McLean High School Dance Room
• Arrive 15 minutes prior to the tryout time dressed and ready to begin
• Attendance is MANDATORY for all days of clinics and tryouts.
• All candidates must wear a white t-shirt, black shorts, no-show socks, and white shoes. Seniors wear red shorts
  • Ladies should wear a white or red bow with hair in a secure ponytail. Be sure to pin back bangs and flyaways.
• Jewelry, hair ties on wrist, chewing gum, nail polish, or fake nails will not be permitted at any time. Nails must be trimmed neatly so they cannot be seen over fingertips.
• Forms and Concussion Education Training must be completed and submitted by the first day of tryouts.
  • You can submit your forms to the Activities Office at McLean High School any day PRIOR to tryouts

Required Forms/Training

• VHSL Physical Form (Must be dated after 5/1/2017)
• Emergency Care Card Form
• FCPS Concussion Education Training (By parent AND student)
  • You can submit your forms to the Activities Office at Mclean High School any day PRIOR to tryouts

Who:   All rising 9^th -  12^th graders

(must have current physical on file with base school)

Dates:  June 24th & July 15th

Time:   10:00 am – 2:00 pm

 

Location:        Herndon High School                                                    700 Bennett St.

                        Herndon, VA 20170

 

Cost:  $50 for each session. 

Checks made payment to 6A North Cheer Coaches Association.  All money is non-refundable.

 

What to wear:

• Practice clothes
• Tennis/Cheer shoes

 

What to bring:

• Registration form and payment
• Water
• Money to purchase lunch at concession stand OR
• Bag lunch

 

All athletes must bring payment and this completed registration form.  There will be no pre-registration. Please note that this is different than previous years – there is no pre-registration and all forms will be collected the day of each clinic!
